How to Train Your Dragon Viking Party

This year, our daughter wanted a How to Train Your Dragon themed Birthday Party so we put on our viking hats and made it happen!

Decorations & Dessert Table

For the Dessert Table, we used this Backdrop // Plastic Goblets // Cupcake Toppers // and Birthday Banner

Table Setting: Black Table Cloth, Silver Utensils wrapped in Black Napkins and added Faux Fur Ribbon with Leather Knot and How to Train Your Dragon themed Plates on Gold Table Chargers + Plastic Gold Cups.

DIY Dragon Eggs using Foam Eggs and Push Pins.

For the Centerpiece, we used a Toothless, Light Furry and Sheep Plush Animals. We added accents of DIY Dragon Eggs using Foam Eggs and Push Pins.

For food, we had SmartSweets Fish and Goldfish in Mini Tin Buckets as Dragon Food + Rice Krispie Dragon Eggs in Nest and Rocks (Purple Grapes) — When in doubt, just add Green Eyes for Toothless or Blue Eyes for Light Furry! Free Food Labels Available from The Simple Parent

Crafts

As the kids arrived, they were painted with Dragon Face Paint then created their own shield, sword and viking hat using these DIY Shields, DIY Swords, Markers, Paint & Paint Brushes and Gem Stickers

Dragon Games!

During the party, the kids were informed that the Mama Dragon’s eggs (spray painted plastic eggs!) had been stolen and they had to run around the yard to find them while watching out for other vikings and creatures (our older daughters with two of their friends) that might attack!

Once all the eggs were safe, the kids separated into two teams and played a sheep toss game where they tossed Sheep Stuffed Animals into Baskets with their corresponding symbol.
